The original description said:

"...Rasmus Knudsen is the earliest recorded person of this family, and is regarded to be the founder of the Dahl lineage. In 1750 he lived at Pæregård (Pear Farm) in Bodilsker (the parish of the Church of St. Bodil). His birth- and deathdates, his wife's and his parents' names, are unknown...".

Later research has moved the starting-point of this family approx. 100 years back. The first ancestor is now Knud Olsen, or if you look at the female side, it's Rasmus Mortensen.
